Cornell in Washington

I spent a year at the Cornell campus in Washington D.C. This is where I learned the most about our government. This year made politics less overwhelming. It made the government feel less like a faceless, soulless, conspiracy machine and more like something you can touch and interact with.

Growing up in Texas has its historical landmarks but being in Washington D.C. was like living in the history of these United States. It was mind-blowing that the Cornell in Washington campus was a 20 minute walk from the White House AND I was living a 20 minute walk from the White House.
